Hotel Caravel - Rome

Rooms were nice and clean. Personnel really very nice

I don't give so many points because the breakfast was really not good and not enough choice and directly in front of the hotel the garbage cans were not really good in summer.

- Breakfast is simple and sweet - expandable! Little choice . But nobody starves to death. . - little "life" around the hotel (business etc.). - Bar is missing at the hotel

Very hot hotel, yet with patient staff and good wi-fi. Outstanding croissants, cereals, cakes and fruit. Well laid out and tastefully decorated room, comfortable bed and pillows. The convenient location for the price, just next door to the local metro stop ' Garbatella'.

Very good room service, always clean after returning to the hotel. Air conditioning cools damn well, but just right in this heat.

The venue is homely, with reasonably priced food and magnificent location near to all attractions. The dinner in the traditional restaurant is what you need.

The breakfast offered very few options, and it was quite expensive for what was available. The room lacked essential amenities like a refrigerator and coffee pot.

Caravel is an affordable hotel that is one bus ride away from major activities. The front desk staff was pleasant and professional. The rooms were clean and included breakfast was good with various fruit, pastries, beverages, and types of protein. The hotel restaurant served quality food that was affordable. There is a coffee shop next door that is not open during the weekend and a dinner restaurant a few doors away that serves great local food. The neighborhood is middle class and it was great to be around locals instead of tourists. I plan to stay here again.

The hotel is good value for the location and cost. Anything closer to the attractions is much more. One bus takes you downtown. The cleanning staff is very thorough and good. The buffet breakfast is decent.

It is however a noisy place and the walls are paper thin.

The location feels remote!!! Communication about additional fees is unclear!!! The bathrooms need to be more spacious!!! Noise from cleaning staff disrupts sleep!!! Lack of a mini-fridge is disappointing!!!

Had slept very well despite the ongoing refurbishment (which was made known to me at the time of booking). Could only notice works being carried out wheb at reception. Rooms were spotless & comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and hot water was constant. The only slight problem was the basin plug kept dropping to the bottom meaning that after washing, you would end up with a pool of water still left in the basin, however, this was fixed when brought to their attention. Breakfast was simple & continental but with plenty of choice in terms of food & drink. Staff were helpful & knowledgeable of the local area. Location was good also as quite a few of the tourist sites were a short bus ride away. Free 30 minute use of Internet was useful also. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Caravel hotel & would not hesitate in recommending it to family & friends.

The hotel's great. There's nothing to complain about.

The location of the hotel is ok. Metro is situated kilometers away. With this bus network one should have a lot of patience, so better use the metro.

The hotel was a fun base for our big family, especially with 5 teenagers! We loved the fresh and clean space. The late-night snacks from the bar were a nice touch after our long days. Quick bus ride to explore Rome, too.

My kids wished for a pool to cool off after sightseeing.

The hotel is being renovated now but this makes no discomfort for the clients. The room was excellent as well as the bathroom! The breakfast was included into the price,.

The metro is 1500 meters from the hotel around 15-20 minutes of walk

The breakfast was great and the rooms brand new recently renovated. 20 minutes walk from Colosseo. free sat tv and in room valuables safe box. Great restaurant in the same block and easy access by bus or underground. The Staff were good and willing to help. Would hope to stay there again soon.
